Shepherd Baseball has been one of the more dominating programs in the storied history of Shepherd University Athletics. From those who paved the way in the beginning, to the teams in the 1980’s with their old school style of play, to the 1997 team who went undefeated in WVIAC conference play, to the four straight conference championships under current head coach Matt McCarty, the Rams have always found a way to win. In 2019, as the Rams make the move to the most dominate conference in college baseball, the PSAC, an investment from the program is not only necessary but is imperative to allow us to continue our level of play expected by those who support our program. With the current administration’s full support, the difference between success and meritocracy will be the support that our generous alumni and friends can put behind the Rams.
Success in the PSAC, Atlantic Regional, and ultimately the D2 College World Series will require an investment in scholarship dollars, continue improvements to one of the finest baseball facilities on the east coast and eventually the funding for a new baseball facility at Fairfax Field.
We are asking all baseball alumni and friends to leave a legacy at Fairfax Field by committing a minimum of $500 a year for 5 years to Shepherd Baseball. By doing so donors can have their name or honor someone’s name on a seat at Fairfax Field.
At this time, all donors will receive all SUAC benefits based on donation level and donors to baseball will be included on all special events and programs we may host in the future.
